Emergency services have rescued the body of a man in his 60s who has appeared dead early this morning in the waters of the Mar Menor, in San Pedro del Pinatar.

The 1-1-2 received, at 7.37 hours, a call informing that they saw a body floating in the Mar Menor, on the beach of La Mota, next to the mill of La Calcetera, in San Pedro del Pinatar.

They indicated that it was about 8 meters from the shore.

Patrols of the Local Police, Civil Guard, personnel of the Emergency and Civil Protection Service of the City Council and a Mobile Emergency Unit with personnel of the Emergency and Sanitary Emergency Management Department 061 were mobilized.

After being rescued from the water, the toilets could only confirm the death.
