The spokesman for Citizens in the City Council of San Pedro del Pinatar and candidate for the Senate, Jos Luis Ros, announced today that he will ask the local government in the next plenary session to “specify the aid to the fishing sector that they announced in an ethereal way in the previous Plenary ”and“ do it right now ”, since, as indicated“ we want to give these grants a name and surname, and from Citizens we ask that the money remaining from the Contingency Fund included in the 2019 budget be allocated to this cause. "
Ros made these statements during an event held in Los Alczares along with the other councilors of the orange formation in the Mar Menor and attended by the candidate for Congress Jos Luis Martnez.
During his speech, the spokesman has claimed that in the next participatory budgets referring to the 2020 budget, which will be voted in San Pedro between November 18 and 22, be included as one of the options “the full endowment (€ 200,000) from this fund to the fishermen of the Mar Menor and their families ”.
“From Citizens we are convinced that, for the people of Pinar del Rio, helping to improve the situation of this emblematic sector is the most urgent, as well as their priority when allocating a budget at the moment,” added Ros, who has put in value "the solidarity of this land with its neighbors, as already demonstrated in the last floods".
In this regard, the orange formation considers the subsidy announced by the regional Executive for the Fishermen's Association to be "good news", although it is an "insufficient" amount, hence Jos Luis Ros demands that the administrations "make an effort in this sense because it is the economy of 150 families that is at stake. ”
