The Governing Board of San Pedro del Pinatar has approved the regulatory bases for grants to associations that collaborate with the Food Aid plan of the Region of Murcia and those destined for local associations that develop projects of socio-sanitary interest.

The City Council of San Pedro del Pinatar has approved the support bases of the "Solidarity Basket" for 2019, endowed with 33,000 euros, 30,000 of the municipal budget and 3,000 euros provided by Obra Social La Caixa.

Local associations that collaborate with the Region's Food Aid plan will be able to apply for these grants by presenting their specific project, in which care for the most needy families and the promotion of a balanced and nutritious diet will be valued.

The Cesta Solidaria project was born in 2013 with the objective of supporting and completing the work carried out by these associations, through the distribution of essential products to families at risk of social exclusion.

Thus, through La Cesta Solidaria, they complete and complement the products they receive from the food bank, in order to provide a healthy and complete diet to the neediest families in the town.

On the other hand, the Governing Board approved the regulatory bases for the granting of grants to Pinatarenses associations with socio-sanitary projects, with an endowment of 25,500 euros, 23,000 charged to the municipal budgets and 3,500 contributed by Obra Social La Caixa.

The purpose of these bases is to establish regulatory regulations for granting subsidies, in competitive competition, for associations in the municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar that carry out projects of socio-sanitary interest.

The objective is to contribute to the help and well-being of the sick and family members of the local associations, who work daily with patients of various pathologies, to improve their quality of life.
