The Agustina Santiago Social Services and Women's Center, in San Pedro del Pinatar, has hosted a new gerontology course since November, organized by the Department of Equality and the Intergenerational Solidarity Association, which is part of the program to encourage employability of women in the Rural Environment, financed by the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities.
A total of 18 women participate in this course, with a duration of 50 hours, focusing on people-centered attention, training students in technical skills and instrumental skills as caregivers of elderly or dependent people.
With the development of this action, the aim is to promote the incorporation or maintenance of women in the labor market, through the improvement of their professional training.
This course is part of the training offer developed by the Department of Equality, mainly aimed at training for employment.
