San Pedro del Pinatar joins the Housing Plan 2018-2020 with a promotion of rental housing (13/11/2019)

The City Council of San Pedro del Pinatar has joined the signing of the agreement with the Ministry of Development and the Autonomous Community for the promotion of a park of 10 homes for rent or transfer of use, within the framework of the State Housing Plan .

The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, accompanied by the representative of the Convivienda cooperative, Pablo Tárraga, and the Town Planning Councilor, Angela Gaona, today announced the agreement recently signed between the City Council, the Ministry of Development and the Autonomous Community, for the promotion of a park of 10 homes intended for rental or transfer of use.

The mayor stressed that this agreement is the result of collaboration between the different administrations and the private company to promote rent and facilitate access to housing at an affordable price, regulated by the State Housing Plan 2018-2021.

These homes will be built on Albudeite Street and will be for lease or transfer of use for a minimum term of 25 years.

Thus, according to the agreement, the promotion will involve an investment of 1.1 million euros, of which the Ministry of Development will face 11.53% of the cost, the Autonomous Community, with 4.56%, and the promoter cooperative 83.91%

The mayor has praised the initiative of the developers of this rental housing stock, which responds to a growing demand in the town, given the small number of houses in this scheme that currently exist.

For his part, Pablo Tárraga has explained that the project consists of 10 two-bedroom, two-bathroom homes, with a communal pool and that there will be two options to access them, through long-term rental as usual housing, or by transfer of use, that with a small entrance and a low monthly payment gives the possibility of acquiring the property at the end of the agreement period (25 years).

The rental price and the transfer of use, as well as the income levels of the people who can access these homes are regulated in the State Housing Plan.
