The auditorium of the House of Culture hosted the awards ceremony of the IX Exhibition of Amateur Theater in the town, which was enlivened by the performance of the theater group Butaca de Oro.
The Mayor of the town, Visitación Martínez and the Councilor for Culture, María del Carmen Guirao, presented the awards of the night whose decision was charged to the jury formed by María del Carmen Martínez Lloris, Bachelor of Art History, library staff Municipal and great fan of theater and literature, Katy Jiménez, amateur actress and member of the theater group of San Javier and Belén Luengo, director and theatrical actress in different companies of the Region.
Thus, the first prize endowed with 500 euros, was for 'Seven screams in the sea, by Alejandro Casona, staged by the ilicitanos' Theater in Construction', a company born in 2010 and has traveled important competitions and amateur theater competitions of all the national geography with this drama.
The second prize of 300 euros went to 'El Landó de six horses' by Víctor Ruiz Iriarte, a farce in two acts of El Teatro del Matadero, which has more than 40 years of experience on the boards and the third finalist “The newspaper from Jonathan Harker â€of Generación Estudio 1 obtained 200 euros.
A special prize from the Public was also awarded, endowed with 200 euros that went to the Matadero Theater.
