The City Council thus joins the actions promoted on the occasion of the COP25 Climate Summit, held in Madrid from December 2 to 13, under the slogan "It's time to act."
San Pedro del Pinatar joins the initiatives proposed by the Spanish Network of Cities for Climate with the blackout, next Saturday, December 7, from 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., from the lights of the Tourist Initiatives Center and the Luis Molina Square, where the City Hall is located.
In addition, the City Council will also carry out the action "A tree for Europe", which will result in the planting of a tree before June 5, 2020, to make visible the importance of sustainable development at the local level, a proposal that was born from the president of the European Parliament.
The objective of these actions is that the Summit has the involvement of local governments and citizen participation, to show everyone's commitment to the effects of climate change.
