The Department of Social Welfare of San Pedro del Pinatar teaches workshops aimed at preventing alcohol and other drugs during the last quarter of the year.
These workshops address, among other topics, the closeness of young people with alcohol;
the values, norms and limits that must be transmitted to avoid consumption;
mechanisms to address the conflict in the family environment, how to learn to enjoy free time and the empowerment of mothers and fathers online.
The Councilor for Welfare, Fuensanta García, explained that this workshop is part of the Municipal Drug Prevention Plan and the ARGOS-Murcia Community Program, funded by the Government Delegation for the National Drug Plan of the Ministry of Health.
In addition, during this last quarter, also within the framework of the II Municipal Plan for the Prevention of Drug Dependencies, the Proyecto Hombre association has given talks in the local institutes, aimed at students of Basic FP.
These sessions aim to avoid the use of drugs and other addictive behaviors in students, develop a critical attitude towards drug use and other risk behaviors and favoring the decision-making process and generate healthier leisure alternatives.
