The municipal tent gathered on Friday, December 13, hundreds of children from seven schools in the municipality who played several Christmas carols to welcome Christmas parties.
Around 220 students from the School of Early Childhood Education n ° 1 and Villa Alegría, Nuestra Señora del Carmen, Las Esperanzas, Maspalomas, Los Pinos and Los Antolinos schools participated last Friday in the VI School Carols Meeting, organized by the Department of Education in the framework of Christmas programming, which this year has also added a contest of school nativity scenes.
The little ones of the Infantile School n ° 1 were the ones in charge to open this contest with the interpretation of the carol "I'm the happiest Christmas tree", followed of the students of third of elementary of Villa Alegría with the subject "Our Christmas and the of the fifth year of Our Lord adel Carmen who played "Friends of the world".
The theme "Glee Gingle Bell Rock" was chosen by the sixth grade students of Las Esperanzas, while Maspalomas' fourth cousin sang "Rockin around the Christmas tree."
On the other hand, a representation of students of all the courses of the Los Pinos school interpreted "Somos el Mundo", and third of Los Antolinos elementary school the song "Tres pastelitos".
The Councilor for Education, Carmen María López, praised the involvement and creativity of the centers, which each year surprise with more elaborate set designs, lyrics and compositions and presented a gift prepared by AIDEMAR to the teachers and directors of the participating centers.
During this meeting, the prizes of the first Belenes school contest were also presented, in which the San Pedro Apóstol Center was winner, followed by Villa Alegría and Nuestra Señora del Carmen.
The day concluded with a lunch of coexistence among all participants.
