Visitation Martínez and the Councilors of Tourism, Silvia Egea, and Commerce, Javier Castejón, participated in a meeting with local businessmen and merchants, where they were exposed to the new measures and actions for the next year and the creation of a working group was announced to share ideas and proposals.
The City Council of San Pedro del Pinatar hosted on Thursday, January 16, a meeting with local merchants and businessmen to discuss actions and measures during the year 2020.
The Mayor, Visitación Martínez, acknowledged that the sector is facing a difficult situation due to different factors, which is why the government team has increased the actions aimed at supporting, promoting and promoting local commerce during 2020.
Thus, the Councilor for Commerce, Javier Castejón exposed the campaigns, fairs and routes of the cover that will be carried out during this year, in addition to other measures such as promotional campaigns, the presence in sector fairs, training courses, advice for the online sales, the creation of a digital guide or a catalog with empty premises for rent or sale, to also facilitate the work of those who want to undertake locally.
For its part, the Councilor for Tourism explained different actions to be carried out in this area such as the improvement of the sludge area, the implementation of 24-hour information systems in tourist offices and boardwalks, the adaptation of the sports beach of Villananitos, as well as the impulse of different tourist lines such as nature, nautical, gastronomic and sports tourism or cycle tourism, among others.
During the meeting it was also announced that the Department of Commerce will create a working group with merchants and entrepreneurs to assess the actions taken and study new proposals.
In this regard, participants completed a survey on the main measures planned for 2020.
