The local board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer has launched the 2019-2020 school year an emotional skills program aimed at students in second and third year of secondary education, in coordination with the departments of Citizen Participation and Education.
These workshops, taught by an AECC pedagogue, are aimed at raising awareness and raising awareness about cancer, as well as developing healthy habits and prevention strategies for alcohol and tobacco use among students.
This program has been taught in all secondary schools in the town, such as the Manuel Tárraga Escribano public institutes, Dos Mares, the San Pedro Apóstol Concerted Education Center and the New Castelar College private center.
The Department of Citizen Participation awarded the local board of the AECC a grant of 4,327 euros for the development of different activities of a social and health nature, among which is this new emotional skills program.
