The events will include this year a new gala of muse and muse of the Carnival, the battle of Don Carnal and Dońa Cuaresma, activities for the little ones and a big parade on Sunday, February 23 with 40 shows from different parts of the Region.
The Councilor of Celebrations of the City of San Pedro del Pinatar, Javier Castejón, today presented at a press conference the activities of the Carnival 2020, which will take place from February 7 to 23.
The mayor has announced that this year the programming of the carnival has been reinforced with the Election Gala of Musa and Muso 2020, in which several local groups will present their candidates and it will be the public, together with a specialized jury who awards the band of Musa and Muso of Carnival 2020.
Castejón has explained that the candidates will make two passes to show their choreographic skills and their style when parading.
Subsequently, the public vote will take place, which will represent 40 percent of the final result, and that of the jury (the remaining 60 percent).
The Festival Committee, promoter of this initiative, will subsequently carry out the muse and muse costumes of the 2020 Carnival for the winners on this evening.
The events will continue on Friday, February 21, with the "Welcome to Carnival" gala, in the municipal tent located on the esplanade of Lo Pagán, where the different local troupes will go on stage to present their costumes and the Carnival Mask will be delivered Pinatarense.
The 'Glamorous Stars' troupe will perform its particular version of the traditional battle of Don Carnal and Dońa Cuaresma in this gala that will also feature the performance of the Kebanna ballet and the chirigota of Cabezo de Torres.
The turn for the little ones will be on Saturday, February 22, with the celebration of the Children's Carnival in the Plaza de la Constitución, which will begin at 11:00 with a catwalk in which a gift will be given to all disguised children.
At 17:30 hours the children's musical "A rhythm of Carnival" will take place and throughout the day there will be inflatables in this space.
On Sunday, February 23, at 5:00 p.m., the Grand Carnival parade will start, in which more than 40 local and other municipalities of the Region participate, which will conclude in the tent of the Lo Pagán Esplanade, where the prizes will be delivered in the different categories.
