The vice president and counselor of Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families and Social Policy, Isabel Franco, attended yesterday the reopening of the Museum of the Sea of San Pedro del Pinatar, a center that, after the effects suffered by the cold drop, reopens to the public with the photographic exhibition 'Hombres de Mar', by José López Albaladejo.
During the visit the regional vice president was accompanied by the mayor of the municipality, Visitación Martínez, and the members of the Fishermen's Association of San Pedro.
The collection of photographs that make up the exhibition is a reflection of the work of the weavers of nets and the hardness of this trade through the looks and skin of the fishermen of San Pedro del Pinatar.
The Museo del Mar was founded in 1980 by Lázaro Escudero Alarcón and offers visitors the opportunity to learn about the history and work of this traditional job in the Mar Menor region.
This center, managed by the Fishermen's Association, has been closed for a few months due to the devastating effects of the cold drop suffered by this municipality in September 2019.
