The Dos Mares Institute has hosted a day of Sports and Disability, in which students of the center have participated together with users of the AIDEMAR and AFEMAR associations in an inclusive gymkana and a healthy lunch.
This activity, initially organized for the past December 4, Disability Day and which was postponed due to weather conditions, aims at the visibility and integration of people with disabilities, through education.
During the event, two representatives of the participating associations have read a manifesto to demand more resources, visibility, awareness and integration of people with disabilities in all areas of society.
The mayor, Visitación Martínez, stressed that the objective of this activity is to promote inclusion from the educational field and recalled that from the City Council works year-round from different areas to create accessible spaces and improve programs and projects aimed at these groups .
The day has included various games throughout the morning, in addition to a dance prepared by AIDEMAR users and a healthy lunch for participants.
