The Councilor for Social Welfare, Fuensanta García, shared a breakfast this morning with the Council of Children and Adolescents, with the aim of meeting their new members and discovering new proposals for children and young people from Pinar del Rio.
The council is an advisory body created in 2017, composed of about twenty children and adolescents from the municipality between 8 and 17 years old, from all the local schools and institutes formed by Aliaa Boudra and Fatima Zahra of CEIP Las Esperanzas, José Gimeno and Rebeca Sánchez Nieto of CEIP Villa Alegria, Rayan Bouazzi and Irene Esparza of CBM Maspalomas, Khalid Saidi and Lucía Cortés of CEIP Ntra Sra del Carmen, Ionatan Vartolomei and Marina Izquierdo of CEIP Los Pinos, Carmen Martínez Madrid and Rubén Cárdenas of CEIP Los Antolinos , Pablo Alcázar, José María Hernández and Olga Blanco from CEIP San Pedro Apóstol, Alberto López and Carmen López Ferrer from CEIP New Castelar, Amal Lakhlisi from IES Dos Mares and Joaquín García and Miguel Ángel Sánchez from IES Manuel Tárraga.
Council members have moved suggestions and issues to the councilor, such as promoting more inclusive activities and improvements for children and youth with disabilities and environmental actions to reduce the pressure of cities on the environment and increase the quality of life of citizens to what they plan to record a video.
Finally, they have shown their satisfaction at the upcoming construction of a youth park, a healthy leisure area for the development of physical activities.
