The exhibition, framed in the program of Holy Week of San Pedro del Pinatar, shows how the evolution of the Third Roman has been through its uniforms, banners, press releases or photographs.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, together with the president of the Cabildo Superior de Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods of Holy Week, Mariano Visedo, the president of the Tercio Romano Hermenegildo Fresneda Pujol, Matías Pérez and his vice president, Joaquín Villaescusa, opened last night the "Heritage and History of the Third Roman Hermenegildo Fresneda Pujol" exhibition that can be visited until April 12 in the exhibition hall of the Baron de Benifayó municipal Museum.
The event was also attended by the Councilors of Tourism and Culture of San Pedro del Pinatar, Silvia Egea and Mari Carmen Guirao, the director of the Municipal Museum and president of the Association Friends of Museums, who has also collaborated in the exhibition, Marcos David Gracia, the Roman of the year, Eustaquio Espinosa, as well as other members of the municipal corporation and people linked to the Holy Week of the municipality.
El Tercio Romano, is a very active part of the Pinatarense Holy Week, participating in it since Ash Wednesday on the occasion of the request for streets, passing through the parade and receiving the crier, representation in the Procession of Promises, Via Crucis del Cristo del Mar Menor, Holy Thursday in the Meeting, the Procession of Good Friday, until it reaches its great day, Easter Sunday, where they parade with quadriga, incorporate the parade to the children and show off their famous formations in snail and the cross, ending in the Plaza de la Constitución with the flag oath.
In the exhibition, we find how has been the evolution of the Roman Third through its uniforms, banners, from 1984 and current, press releases or photographs, from 1984 to the present, with a special nod to the Roman decuria that the San Juan in 1953 and the possibility of also seeing the new quadriga in a salt set with different motifs and Roman capitals.
After the inauguration, a video made for this Holy Week was projected by the Third Roman and a wine was offered on the terrace of the Museum
The exhibition, organized by the Department of Tourism of the City Council of San Pedro del Pinatar and the Tercio Romano Hermenegildo Fresneda Pujol, in collaboration with the Association Friends of Museums and the Cabildo Superior de Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods of Holy Week, can be visited Tuesday to Friday from 10 to 13 in the morning and in the afternoon from 17 to 19, Saturdays and holidays only in the morning.
