On its tenth anniversary, the International Women's Scream Festival has the theme "Who screams for you", to raise its voice for children whose families have been severely affected by cases of femicide.
Grito de Mujer is an event that takes place annually during the month of March, on five continents, with the aim of honoring women and claiming nonviolence, through thematic cultural meetings that include music, poetry, conferences, theater and commitment social, among other artistic manifestations, with which it is intended to raise awareness of the different types of violence suffered by women throughout the world.
San Pedro del Pinatar, has hosted this festival for the third consecutive year with an event of poetry, oral narration and music, organized by the Department of Equality and coordinated and presented, by Gema Bocardo, in which the poets Antonio Soto Alcón have acted, Charo García Baño and Koki Marín.
In addition, the third-year student of the ESO of the San Pedro Apóstol concerted center, Ángela Echavarría Ballesta, has read a text representing the winners of the IV Short Story Contest for Equality between women and men, in which students from IES Manuel Tárraga Escribano and Dos Mares, as well as the San Pedro Apóstol and New Castelar College.
The event closed with a concert by singer Amarela that offered a selection of her best known songs and also those included in her latest album, Instinto.
