The Local Police of San Pedro del Pinatar has imposed a total of 7 fines during yesterday, for circulating, either on foot or by car, for reasons other than those allowed by the decree of state of alarm decreed by the Government of the nation.
In addition to the fines for not respecting the provisions of the Royal Decree that limits the free movement of citizens to try to contain the programming of COVID-19, the Local Police carried out 72 identifications to people walking on the street or in public spaces to check whether they availed themselves of the legal exceptions imposed by the state of alarm, purchase of basic necessities, work or welfare reasons.
The controls began last Saturday when the confinement decreed by the regional government came into effect.
During the weekend, both the Civil Guard and the Local Police have monitored, identified and informed the residents of the new situation of house confinement due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The fines are considered serious, with penalties ranging from 600 euros to 30,000 and can go up to 600,000 euros after repeated disobedience.
