The Department of Education has launched two initiatives to promote creativity and reading habits among children and youth in the town with the "Give my window" contest, which seeks to express, through different artistic disciplines, how they live the confinement due to the health crisis of COVI-19, and with the "Bibliotubers" project, in which they will add opinions on their latest readings.
The City of San Pedro del Pinatar, through the Department of Education and in collaboration with the educational community, has launched two initiatives aimed at children and youth in the town, with the aim that, during this exceptional situation , develop abilities such as imagination, creativity, or reading comprehension.
Thus, the department has launched the "From my window" contest, aimed at students of all levels in local schools, from children to high school or vocational training.
In this contest, the aim is for the participants to give free rein to their creativity and to express through different formats or disciplines, such as drawing, comics, stories, etc., how they are experiencing confinement from their homes.
Participants will be eligible for three prizes consisting of drawing material and reading books.
The Councilor for Education, Carmen María López, explained that the goal is for children and young people to give free rein to their imagination and express how they feel, what dreams they have for after this period, who or what makes the day easier for them. to day, etc.
Another initiative of the department is the "Bibliotubers" project, which aims to launch a YouTube channel in which students from San Pedro del Pinatar talk about their favorite readings and make recommendations.

"With this initiative we want to promote the habit of reading, at a time especially conducive to it, through one of the channels most used by students," concluded the councilor.
