The Popular University of San Pedro del Pinatar, whose global training offer for the 2019-2020 course exceeded 60 courses and workshops, has adapted part of the courses of the second semester to the online modality, before the suspension of the face-to-face classes after the declaration of the State of Alarm for the health crisis of COVID-19
The Councilor for Education, Carmen María López, explained that in the courses in which it has been feasible for both teachers and students, we have opted for the on-line modality to guarantee the continuity of the educational program successfully.
Thus, this modality has been chosen for various language courses, such as Spanish for foreigners and Spanish for English-speakers, at various levels and in English A1 and A2.
Online classes have also been chosen in the school transport monitor and healthy cooking courses.
The councilor recalled that for those exclusively face-to-face courses, the City Council has approved the bonus of the rate thereof, proportional to the time of the Alarm State.
Carmen María López recalled the roots and dimension of the Popular University that each academic year offers around 1,700 places in courses and workshops in different areas, aimed mainly at job training and lifelong education.
