The Department of Citizen Participation asks all people of Pinar del Río to want to collaborate with this project for the recovery of oral memory to provide photographs, documents, and other elements related to local offices and traditions, in order to enrich the story of the older people who participate in Crossed Memories. The Department of Citizen Participation has been developing the PInatarense Bank of Wisdom project since 2012, which aims to recover the collective memory of the town, through the experiences and memories of the greatest people of Pinar del Río, an initiative that each year translates into a documentary entitled Crossed Memories, produced together with the AIKE Cultural association. Thus, the councilor of the area, Zoilo Ballester, explained that "the Pinatarense Bank of Wisdom is the place in which to treasure all the life stories of the Pinatarenses, so as not to lose our identity and leave a valuable legacy to the more generations young people.
To recover the memory of the people, it must be done with the collaboration of the people themselves.
" Thus, he has encouraged the people of Pinar del Río to order their memories during this period of confinement and collaborate with this project by providing documents, photographs, letters, etc., related to the traditional work and customs of Pinar del Río, everything that helps recover the living conditions, the culture and the way of being and thinking in the municipality at the beginning of the 20th century.
