In the last month the consistory has approved and paid invoices for an amount of 1.29 million euros, guaranteeing compliance with the average payment period and helping to alleviate the difficult financial situation of many companies and self-employed. The City of San Pedro del Pinatar has approved and paid during the last month invoices for a total amount of 1,287,639 euros, thus ensuring compliance with the average payment period, which in the first quarter of the year stood at 29.69 days . The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, recalled that one of the government team's priorities has been the reduction of municipal debt, mainly to suppliers, fulfilling each year the objectives established in the municipal adjustment plan.
Thus, since the first quarter of 2018, the average payment period has been maintained within the 30-day limit. In the framework of this economic policy, the City Council has approved and paid in the last month, through Government Boards and Mayor's Decrees, nearly 1.3 million euros to municipal suppliers, aware of the importance of these revenues for companies and the self-employed in the face of the crisis generated by COVID-19, the mayor pointed out. Visitación Martínez has also recalled that the City of San Pedro del Pinatar has implemented economic and fiscal measures to mitigate the effects generated by this crisis on entrepreneurs and the self-employed, such as the tax and fee rebate, such as the Property Tax, the service tax of water and garbage collection, among others, for those establishments that have had to cease their activity. The mayor has announced that these measures will also be completed with the discount on the Tax on Economic Activities and with a complete economic and social recovery plan, which will be announced at the next municipal plenary session to be held on Friday, April 17.
