The City Council will allocate 400,000 euros to discount local taxes and fees to businesses and companies that have had to cease their activity, such as the IBI, the IAE or that of water supply and garbage collection; in addition to subsidizing services that have been interrupted by the State of Alarm, such as weekly market, Popular University or use of sports facilities, among others. The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, reported today that the City Council has published the call for the Extraordinary Social Aid Grant to residents, businesses and companies of San Pedro del Pinatar affected by the coronavirus pandemic, which results in in more than 400,000 euros in tax credits. Martínez explained that these bases can be consulted from today on the municipal website www.sanpedrodelpinatar.es, and that the beneficiaries of them can present the relevant documentation through the electronic office from today until July 31, and, a Once face-to-face care is resumed at the Town Hall, in the General Registry until that date. The rules regulate the bonus for the period that the Alarm Status of the rates and taxes for the use of sports facilities, the weekly market, the Popular University and the Morning Classroom service remain in force. For his part, the Councilor for Finance, José Fernández, stressed that the most important part of this aid is aimed at small local businesses and all those economic activities that have had to suspend their activity as a result of the Alarm State, aware of the hard situation facing them. Thus, for this sector, bonuses are established for a quarterly period for taxes on water supply and sewerage, and garbage collection. The IBI fee for properties intended for economic activities will also be discounted proportionally to the time of the suspension of the activity.
Maintenance of at least 75% of the average workforce during 2020 will be conditioned. The Tax on Economic Activities will also be reduced under the same conditions as the IBI, proportionally to the time of the suspension of the activity and conditioned to the maintenance of at least 75% of the workforce during 2020. For the time proportional to the suspension of the activity, those contracts for the exploitation of seasonal services, the concession of special administrative services and others, in which the City Council receives a fee or canon for the management thereof, will also be rewarded which include kiosks, the Lo Pagán market, concession of municipal buildings, hairdressing services in homes, etc. The Councilor for Finance has also recalled that the Fiscal Calendar was suspended when the State of Alarm was decreed for taxes such as the IVTM (car stamp), the Real Estate Tax (IBI) and the Economic Activities Tax (IAE) and that the Tax Agency of the Region of Murcia will set the payment terms for its collection once this period has passed. For other rates and taxes managed directly by the City Council, the approval of standards and collection, such as those of Home Help, Telecare, Day Center, Vados, Cemetery and weekly market, were also suspended from the start of the State of Alarm.
