The City of San Pedro del Pinatar, through the beach management body, has today analyzed the different possible scenarios to address, in the future, the opening of the beaches to bathing and the uses that may be made in the coastal strip, complying with the safety and health guarantees that arise in a new context marked by the coronavirus. Among other aspects, the accessibility and capacity of the beaches of the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean, access control on the bathing platforms of the mud area, the use and maintenance of common spaces, the uses of promenades and adjacent areas, etc. The mayor, Visitación Martínez, explained that the how and when of the reopening of the beaches will depend on the guidelines set by the regional and national health experts, but the City Council works to be prepared for the different possible scenarios, "we coordinate all the departments involved in the management, cleaning, maintenance and control of the local beaches and we analyze all the possibilities, "explained the mayor.
