The municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar has joined today the minute of silence decreed by the Council of Ministers, as well as the ten days of national official mourning, in tribute to the 27,117 killed by COVID-19 during this health crisis. The mayoress, who has chaired this event held in the Luis Molina square, in front of the Town Hall, recalled that the Town Hall joined on April 3, and until the end of the State of Alarm, to the mourning decreed by the President of the Community Autonomous of the Region of Murcia, therefore, from that moment, all official public events were suspended and the flags of buildings and public spaces fly at half-staff. Visitación Martínez has expressed "the sadness and pain of the entire municipality for the people who died in our country due to the pandemic, for which we convey our sincere condolences, on behalf of all the people of Pinar del Río, to the families and relatives of the victims " The act was attended by councilors from all political forces with representation in the Municipal Corporation, as well as public workers and residents of the town.
