The students of this program, subsidized by the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF), have completed the training to obtain the professional certificate of "Auxiliary activities in nurseries, gardens and garden centers". The councilor for employment of the City of San Pedro del Pinatar, José Antonio Munuera presided over the virtual closure of the Mixed Training and Employment Program "El Lentisco", which has trained 15 young people in gardening, doing their practices in green spaces and public areas of the location. The mayor explained that this program has consisted of 330 theoretical hours and an extensive practical program that has included various works in public spaces, a training itinerary that has been completed with important transversal activities for job search. José Antonio Munuera highlighted the willingness and will of all the participants in the course, offering to collaborate in the cleaning work after the DANA in highly affected areas such as El Mojón, in addition to other tasks such as the preparation of insect control houses for control of plagues, in collaboration with the Department of Environment, or the floral centers made for public buildings at Christmas. The councilor noted that for many of the students this course has been their first real contact with the world of work, through complete training in a job sector such as gardening. In this regard, he encouraged the participants to continue on the path of continuous training, which is currently of vital importance for the job search in an increasingly competitive society and has offered municipal employment services to continue guiding them in this process.
