The young Francisco López Pérez has been the winner of the first edition of the "Snacks That Are Cool" contest, organized by the Department of Commerce and Consumption of the City of San Pedro del Pinatar on the occasion of National Nutrition Day. The winner of the contest, who obtained a voucher of 50 euros to spend in local commerce, surprised the jury with an innovative elaboration of the traditional rice pudding. In addition, the first three classified in the contest enjoyed a masterclass in the bakery of the José Antonio bakery, where they learned how to make the "fetén prawn" and were able to see the facilities of this emblematic establishment.
The top ten finishers will also receive as a gift a cup from the "Compras San Pedro" campaign. The councilor of the area, Javier Castejón, presented the awards also in the workshop and thanked the response and involvement of both the 25 participants and the jury, made up of nutritionist Rebeca Verdú, the Spanish champion of Squash, Cristina Gómez, and the manager of the José Antonio bakery, Patricia Pérez. Mari Carmen Villaescusa's oatmeal, banana and cocoa pancakes took second place, followed by Mar Sánchez's American pancakes and Laura Pérez's strawberry shake, while fifth place went to Blanca's healthy cookies.
Conesa, followed by Ema Polorná's oat pancakes and Emilia García Moya's fried milk fit. Also in the top ten were healthy strawberry ice creams by José María Guijarro, Ana Arques' Greek yogurt, cinnamon and wholemeal cake, and Patricia Navarro's oatmeal and carrot cake.
