The councilor for Citizen Participation of San Pedro del Pinatar, Zoilo Ballester, today accompanied the residents of El Mojón and the management and volunteers of Cáritas to learn about a new initiative to collect food for the neediest families in the town. A group of residents of El Mojón started this campaign on June 1 and have already raised more than 500 euros in cash and dozens of kilos of food and other essential goods, such as cleaning products or personal hygiene, explained Raquel Peña , promoter of this campaign. The president of Cáritas Parroquial, Antonio Tárraga, has thanked the residents of El Mojón for their solidarity, which will contribute to helping the more than 80 families that this organization currently serves in the municipality. For his part, Zoilo Ballester recalled that the City Council has increased the budget allocated to support local associations that collaborate with the food bank of the Region of Murcia and thanked particular initiatives, such as those of these residents of the district of El Mojón, which contribute to improving the care of all those who need it. Those interested in participating in this campaign can make their donations on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 11:00 a.m.
to 1:00 p.m., at the Kings Real Estate real estate agency, located on Buendía street, corner of El Mojón road with Buendía street.
