The San Pedro del Pinatar City Council is carrying out conditioning and improvement actions in the municipal sports facilities during the period of pause of the activity, caused by the COVID19. During the last months, the Department of Sports has been making important improvements to its municipal facilities, such as the conditioning of the central track of the Prince of Asturias municipal pavilion, where a deep restoration of the parquet is being carried out. In addition, in the municipal sports center, other conditioning and reform works have been carried out in various spaces, such as repainting the fencing of the municipal cross-country circuit, the playground, floors and goals, etc.
A complete cleaning of the paddle tennis courts has also been carried out and shading has been installed in the area of ??the archery range. These works have also led to an improvement in access to the sports center, with the motorization of the vehicle door and the start of the construction of a portico in the access between the auxiliary pavilion and the indoor pool. On the other hand, in the José Antonio Pérez de Lo Pagán football field, the safety para-ball net has been replaced and the locker rooms have been repaired and repainted. The Councilor for Sports, Pedro Vivancos, has indicated that the objective of these actions is that clubs, municipal schools and users can enjoy, when the health situation permits, municipal sports facilities in optimal conditions.
