The Department of Celebrations of San Pedro del Pinatar has launched a campaign on social networks so that the residents of the town share during these days snapshots of their particular celebration of San Pedro Day, which is celebrated on June 29. Thus, people from Pinar del Río are invited to share their photos on Facebook and Instagram wearing the Brotherhood of San Pedro Apóstol medal, the banner hanging on the town's balconies, dressed as huertanos, as in the offering of fruits or meals and family gatherings. The Councilor for Celebrations, Javier Castejón, has pointed out that these publications must be accompanied by the hashtag #Sanpedroenfamilia and has encouraged all residents to celebrate the festivity of San Pedro in a different way.
