The Department of Social Welfare, following the guidelines of the Murcian Institute of Social Action, will reopen next Wednesday, July 1, the homes of the pensioner of San Pedro and Lo Pagán, to provide hairdressing, podiatry and information services. To access them, users must take into account the established sanitary-hygiene measures (use of a mask and social distance), and request an appointment by calling 968 180 853 (Hogar Raimundo Benedicto de San Pedro) and 968 185 343 (Hogar José Espinosa de Lo Pagán). The councilor of the area, Fuensanta García, has pointed out that this measure represents a further step in the new normality and a first step to resume the activities and services provided to the elderly from these centers. In addition, it has indicated that during the months in which both centers have been closed, disinfection, cleaning and maintenance tasks have been carried out, also carrying out repairs, gardening and painting, etc.
Contact has also been maintained with the users of the centers through telephone assistance, answering questions and queries during confinement and de-escalation.
