The City Council has launched the participation process for the preparation of the II Plan for Equal Opportunities between men and women, which includes a citizen survey and a working table with associations and other groups. The Department of Equality of San Pedro del Pinatar has begun the process of participation for the preparation of the II Plan for Equal Opportunities between Women and Men, which will consist of different actions, such as a working table with associations or dissemination among the general population of an online questionnaire to know the opinion of the people of Pinar del Rio about this area. Citizens who want to contribute their opinion on equal opportunities in the municipality can do so through this simple questionnaire, which they can access through a web link or a QR code that they will find on the municipal website and information posters distributed by different points of the municipality. At the same time, the Department of Equality is promoting the creation of a work table, with the participation of local associations, where they can also collect suggestions and initiatives regarding equal opportunities for these groups. The objective is to prepare a needs assessment for the preparation of the draft of the second plan for Equal Opportunities between men and women, which includes actions aimed at obtaining real equality, with concrete measures in different areas such as training, conciliation, or access to the labor market, among others. The councilor of the area, Fuensanta García, explained that the objective of this participatory process is to contribute to the elaboration of a plan that includes the real needs of the people of Pinar del Río regarding equal opportunities. "We want to make San Pedro del Pinatar a more equal municipality through a plan that includes effective measures to improve the quality of life of our neighbors through the search for real equality in all areas of society and the elimination of any type of discrimination based on sex, "concluded the councilor.
