The environmental awareness campaign 'Mar Menor 2020' has arrived this morning in San Pedro del Pinatar with the aim of raising awareness about the protection of fauna and flora and the harmful effects of waste. This informative action that the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Environment has been developing for three years, seeks to show the harmful effects of waste in the aquatic environment. Thus, the General Director of the Mar Menor, Miriam Pérez, accompanied by the Councilor for Tourism and the Environment, Silvia Egea, have visited the information point that today has arrived at La Puntica beach in Lo Pagán with training and environmental education activities related to the ecological care of the environment, information on prohibitions and good practices that boat users must respect in the area. This campaign will run on an itinerant basis along the Mar Menor coastline until August 30 and is complemented by a series of illustrative panels on the fauna and flora of the Mar Menor and its care, as well as answering a series of questions about his condition and his recovery.
