| 25 offices and two information points receive the certificate of safe tourism before covid-19 granted by the Institute for the Spanish Tourist Quality | The Office Network of the Region of Murcia is the first in Spain to receive the 'Safe Tourism Certified' quality seal, granted by the Institute for Spanish Tourist Quality (Icte).
Today the offices of the municipalities of the coast and of the capital Murcia have received their seal and, later, another delivery will be made in Mula to distinguish the 13 municipalities of the interior, and thus continue the strategy outlined, within the Tourist Promotion campaign Summer 2020, which includes actions to boost and enhance tourism to discover the interior of the Murcia Region.The Minister of Tourism, Youth and Sports, Cristina Sánchez, presented together with the Mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, and the director of the Icte, Fernando Fraile, the badges to 12 Tourist offices and two information points for achieving their certification with ISO 9001 that corresponds to the quality seal.The offices that have been certified with this seal have been those of San Pedro del Pinatar, Águilas, two in Cartagena, Lorca, La Unión, Los Alcázares, Puerto Lumbreras, San Javier, Torre Pacheco, Murcia and Mazarrón and two information points; one at the Murcia Region International Airport and the other at Los Narejos.In total, 25 offices and two information points have been distinguished, which are part of the Network of Tourist Offices in the Region of Murcia.
"The Ministry will continue advising the others with the aim that they can all obtain this certification that grants quality and safety," said Cristina Sánchez.He also indicated that this certification "has been a great challenge and it is a pride for the team of the Ministry and for the municipalities, that we can say that the first space that visitors arrive at is a safe and officially certified place because we are the ones who more security we offer from all over Spain ".
These offices have led a process in which the maximum risk prevention guarantees have been provided to the entire value chain of the tourism sector, and they fully guarantee compliance with protocols to combat coronavirus.The counselor thanked the work of the municipalities and tourism technicians "for becoming the first network of offices with their certified seal, and hopefully they shine and encourage the rest of tourist establishments and equipment to join."'Safe Tourism Certified'The Region of Murcia has 32 offices and 15 municipal tourist information points that are part of the Network of Tourist Offices.In addition to the Office Network, the Region has 16 more certified stamps, one in the Terra Natura theme park in Murcia; 14 beaches in San Javier, making this municipality the first in Spain with the most beach certifications, and the shipping company, 'Transbordos' del Mar Menor.The 'Safe Tourism Certified' transmits the concept of certified safe tourism by means of an audit.
For this, the technicians of the Ministry have provided all the resources available for the company to fulfill its mission, certifying the correct implementation of the system.The seal, created by the Icte, is awarded in collaboration with communities, municipalities and the Secretary of State for Tourism to certify the implementation of measures to prevent contagion against covid-19.It also states that what is being certified is the implementation of a health risk prevention system against Covid-19The protocols, technical specifications UNE 0066, for the prevention of covid-19 in Tourism, are applicable to 21 different subsectors that encompass the entire Spanish tourism value chain.
