The Port of Lo Pagán in San Pedro del Pinatar reinforces its environmental management with the renewal of the water collection system that avoids any type of discharge into the sea, since it is captured through grids that go to a tank that is withdrawn by an environmental manager. The general director of Mobility and Litoral, Marina Munuera, and the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, visited the port facilities and highlighted the commitment of their managers to the care and protection of the environment. "From the regional Executive we contribute to a responsible environmental management of the ports," said the director, who indicated that efficient management, environmental sustainability, zero discharge into the sea, waste management, saving water and energy, selective collection of garbage, information and education, among other aspects.
He recalled that the ports of the Region of Murcia have grease separating boxes in the drains, which are periodically reviewed and cleaned.
