In relation to the demonstration that will take place this afternoon, called by the environmental association "For a Living Sea", the City Council points out that:Since the State of Alarm for the Covid 19 Pandemic was decreed, the plenary sessions of the San Pedro del Pinatar City Council have been held behind closed doors to contain the spread of the virus.Currently, the municipal corporation attends the sessions in a blended manner, strictly complying with the anti-covid protocol.
It is a measure taken by this and all the City Council of the Region of Murcia, essential in the context in which we find ourselves. After knowing the nature of the demonstration that the aforementioned Association will carry out, the City Council points out that it never intended to limit the right to political participation of any citizen since the Town Hall can only be accessed by appointment and the protesters had not requested to enter the Plenary Ordinary on August 6 or meeting with the mayor. This City Council has always shown its availability to listen to proposals and collaborate with different associations and / or groups.
