The municipal market of San Pedro del Pinatar was the place chosen this morning, September 21, World Alzheimer's Day, to make visible, raise awareness and help prevent this disease.Thus, the Councilor for Citizen Participation, Zoilo Ballester, and the Councilor for Social Welfare, Fuensanta García, visited the stand of the non-profit organization that is in charge of guiding and helping relatives and patients with Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative dementias in the Region from the Mar Menor.The slogan chosen for this 2020, chosen by the World Health Organization and the International Alzheimer's Federation is "dependence outside the law", to help this group and promote support measures that improve care for people with Alzheimer's and other dementias.In this sense, the Department of Citizen Participation approves at the end of the year some subsidies in competitive competition for local associations of social and health interest, so that this local delegation with current headquarters in Santiago de la Ribera, and which has users from our Municipality can attend and be a beneficiary of these municipal aid.
