| Alberto Lorente, The man of the waters, will give next weekend, the return to the Mar Menor by swimming and blind, to raise funds for Aidemar sports projects | The long distance open water swimmer, Alberto Lorente, popularly known as The Man of the Waters, has proposed a solidarity challenge, to go around the Mar Menor, 49 km, and do it blind.Thus, this morning at the facilities of the Nautical Activities Center of San Pedro del Pinatar, the new challenge of the swimmer Alberto Lorente was presented, who was represented at the event by Francisco Martínez, a member of his work team "A challenge, a life ", accompanied by the Sports Councilor of the San Pedro del Pinatar City Council, Pedro Vivancos, the Sports Councilor of San Javier and Los Alcázares, Sergio Martínez and Pedro Pascual, respectively, and María Teresa Martínez, director of the Centro de AIDEMAR day of San Pedro del Pinatar.Alberto Lorente intends with this sporting event, to achieve a new World Record and raise funds for the construction of a sports court for the facilities of the Aidemar Day Center in San Pedro del Pinatar.The challenge is scheduled to start on Saturday around 5:30 p.m.
from La Mota Beach and you will try to swim the 48 kilometers of the Mar Menor coast blindly, accompanied by kayaks and canoes that will guide you on your journey.After an estimated 20 hours of swimming, this solidarity challenge will end its route at around 1:00 p.m.
