| Aidemar obtains the necessary funds to build a sports court with which to serve 150 people with intellectual disabilities | Last October, the beginning of a double historical event for sports and the care of vulnerable groups took place in the Mar Menor.The first: a World record.

The facts: blind swim more than 50 km along the shoreline of our lagoon for 19 hours and 58 minutes.The second: the construction of a sports court for people with intellectual disabilities at the Aidemar Day Center in San Pedro del Pinatar.

The facts: Raise the funds to build a sports court and get it done in just 1 month.The solidarity arms of Alberto Lorente (known as the "man of the waters") and his team "A challenge for a life" have made it possible for the project proposed by Aidemar Deportes to have a track for people with disabilities to be a reality.During the last month, through the social networks of Aidemar Deportes, the challenge to society has been launched with the message that we all swim in the same direction and that together we add.
This appeal has borne fruit and on November 6 we managed to get the necessary funds to be able to start this project and very soon our day center will have the necessary sports facilities.For Teresa Martínez, director of the Aidemar San Pedro del Pinatar day center "this sports court means achieving one of the aspirations of our center: it will serve more than 150 people with intellectual disabilities who are users of our center and meet the demand of the Association in his firm commitment to sports ", on the other hand Alberto Lorente affirmed before the news of being able to start the project:" That for a few years since my grandfather died of cancer I try to convey the message that he left me: that I would be able to achieve what I That is, if my enthusiasm has no limits, and that is what we have achieved, fulfill this dream by swimming all in the same direction ".Thanks to Alberto Lorente for his dedication to solidarity causes, thanks to the municipalities of San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar and Los Alcázares for their support, thanks to the clubs and companies of the Mar Menor Region….
