| The action consists of the raffle of lots of regional fishing products among consumers | The general director of Livestock, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Francisco Espejo, and the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, presented this morning the 'Fruto del Mar' campaign, which aims to promote the consumption of quality regional products from of fishing and that has started up the Council of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Environment in collaboration with the Fishermen's Guilds.The campaign includes promotional events such as the draw for seafood among consumers, specifically, four gift lots from the brotherhoods of San Pedro del Pinatar, Cartagena, Mazarrón and Águilas.
The purchases that give the right to access the raffle will take place between tomorrow, November 18, and December 18.The raffle is accessed through the fishmongers of the Region that want to participate in the contest by placing a poster in their establishment with a QR code.
Those interested in participating in the raffle, who have bought fish and shellfish from the Region in the fish market, can scan this code with their mobile to enter the website www.frutodelmar.es where they will leave their contact information.Francisco Espejo recalled that "the initiative, in the context of the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, is presented as a stimulus to encourage sales in the region's fishing sector and, in this way, contribute to the reactivation of this industry , of so much weight in the regional economy ".For his part, Visitación Martínez, praised "the work done in the Brotherhood, despite everything that has hit them in the last year" and thanked the Ministry for the implementation of initiatives like this.
