One of the novelties of these festivals is this market made up of about twenty booths where merchants, artisans and local associations display their products. This afternoon, the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, accompanied by the Councilor for Celebrations, Javier Castejón, visited the Christmas Market and the Municipal Nativity Scene installed in the Plaza de la Constitución. One of the novelties of these festivities is the Christmas Market, made up of about twenty booths where merchants, artisans and local associations will rotate weekly to display their products. Finally, the traditional Municipal Nativity Scene was visited, which last year turned 25, it recreates various biblical passages and the birth of Christ, traditional scenes of shepherds and peasants and allegories of other emblematic buildings in the area. Large-format illuminated figures have also been installed in the urban area that offer a Christmas atmosphere respecting all security measures, for this, police surveillance has been reinforced and four hydrialcoholic gel stations and temperature taking have been installed. Visitación Martínez calls on the responsibility of the neighbors to "continue enjoying our traditions but adapting to current circumstances." From the Department of Celebrations, some thirty activities have been programmed that due to the social and health crisis we are facing, will be carried out through social networks and in the media.
