| These grants have been awarded to ten athletes from different disciplines such as canoeing, squash, Olympic wrestling or athletics, based on the results obtained in the last years | The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitaci n Mart nez, accompanied by the Councilor for Sports, Pedro Vivancos, has delivered ten individual grants, for a global value of 5,000 euros, to athletes from Pinar del Río, who have excelled in different disciplines in the Last years. Visitaci n Mart nez has highlighted the achievements obtained at national and international level by young people from Pinatarenses in different disciplines such as squash, canoeing, athletics or Olympic wrestling and has reiterated the City Council's commitment to continue rewarding the effort and the perseverance of these athletes, as well as promoting sport from the grassroots in any of its modalities. For his part, the Councilor for Sports, Pedro Vivancos, has listed the achievements of the awarded athletes.
The results of Fernando Nicol s Medina Werner of the Pinatarius Wrestling Club stand out, obtaining € 791, which in 2019 obtained the 11th place in the World Sambo Wrestling Championship held in Korea and in 2020: First in the Spanish Championship Lucha Grappling Senior from San Pedro del Pinatar and second in the European Grappling Championship held in San Pedro del Pinatar. From the same Olympic Wrestling club, different athletes have been awarded such as Mohamed Amin Mainich who receives a grant of € 357 and who was second in the Spanish Junior Grappling Championship held in San Pedro del Pinatar and fourth in the Championship from Spain Fight Cadet of Asturias. For his part, Rub n L pez S ez has obtained € 366, being second in the Spanish Grappling Junior Championship + 92kg held in San Pedro del Pinatar. Fernando Nicol s Pat n, also from the Pinatarius Wrestling Club, has obtained a grant of € 400, being first in the Spanish Cadet Championship in Gij n and third in the Spanish Cadet Grappling Championship in San Pedro del Pinatar. Ayoube Mrabet has also received € 443 for her results in the Spanish Junior Grappling Championship in San Pedro del Pinatar where she finished First and Third in the Spanish Junior Wrestling Championship in Asturias. In canoeing, L zaro L pez de Haro from the Club Asociaci n Deportiva Pinatarense has received a grant of € 613.
