The mayor of Tourism, Mark David Gracia Antolinos, gathered at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce in Madrid two awards attesting to the high-level maintenance and services from the beaches of San Pedro del Pinatar, was the minister Miguel Sebastian, who presented the Flags "Q" Quality Tourism awarded by the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE) in a ceremony also attended by Secretary of State for Tourism, Joan Mesquida and the president of ICTE, Miguel Mirones .
In San Pedro del Pinatar will fly 2 flags at the beach and the Puntica Villananitos of the 21 collected by Murcia, which serve to recognize those beaches that offer a quality system aimed at visitors to enjoy.
The "Q" is a differential value requires not only that having water and sand beaches clean, but to control the security services and rescue services, entertainment, information, cleaning, control of the bars and the hygienic conditions of the beaches and facilities.
Since it began certifying beaches in the "Q" for Quality in 2004, the year that there were a total of 13, until today, the number of flags has increased more than eleven, reaching the 152 who have delivered this year.
With this notable increase from the beaches recognized with the highest level of quality, Spain consolidates global leadership in the segment of vacation travel.
In this ongoing commitment to quality is part of the Spanish Tourism Plan Horizon 2020, with the consent of the Government and the Autonomous Communities, in addition to the corporate sector, has laid the foundation for greater competitiveness in tourism.
