The mayor, Visitation Martinez, together with the Councillor for Education, Guadalupe Garcia have received in the city of San Pedro del Pinatar, students of IES Dos Mares who have obtained the First Prize at the IV Contest Chemistry "Chemistry in my environment".
The students of 4th ESO-A / B in course Expansion of Physics and Chemistry, accompanied by the subject teacher, Francisco Rojas and the director of IES Dos Mares, Maria Jesus Cantos Old, exposed bases the work entitled "what I paint a radish" and the experience at the awards ceremony the evening of Tuesday, February 16 was developed at the University Campus of La Merced in Espinardo.
Students thanked the City Council to facilitate their transport to collect the prize and visit the laboratories belonging to the Departments of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and know first equipment and instruments used in the research taking place in currently in these laboratories.
In addition, this award coincides with the 75th anniversary of the first class of graduates in Chemical Sciences and the Gold Medal that the regional government has granted the Faculty of Chemistry.
