The plenary session yesterday in San Pedro del Pinatar, approved the joint motion of the municipal groups, C's, PP and PSOE, with the abstention of Winning in support of Easter for its roots in the Murcia region and particularly in San Pedro del Pinatar where the processions account for more than 50 years of deep tradition.
Easter pinatarense is a reference that attracts many visitors to enjoy our traditions, warm temperatures and calm waters of the Mar Menor.
Therefore, Easter, of incalculable cultural wealth, is also an important economic engine for the shops in town as well reflects the decline in unemployment in 115 people agreeing with the festival and the data of hotel occupancy almost 90% occupation.
Pinatarense Holy Week, declared of Regional Tourist Interest since 1993, brings together more than a thousand penitents, bearing, bearers and musicians who represent the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ in more than 20 processions and parades.
This year we have carried out 12 acts of brotherhoods, 22 liturgies, 2 thematic exhibitions, the National Contest of Processional Marches, ect, for all that this motion combines efforts to continue working in the Declaration of National Tourist Interest Easter in San Pedro del Pinatar.
