The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez and the Councillor for Citizen Participation and Transparency, Fuensanta Garcia, presented today at a press conference Days of Citizen Participation, which this year are entitled "Open Government, Transparency and Public Participation in Local Administration "which will be held on Thursday, April 21 at the Center of Social Service and Women Agustina Santiago.
The mayor has indicated that one of the priorities of the consistory is the Transparency and Citizen Participation, offering a close Administration to citizens, based on the principles of Open Government.
Visitation recalled that currently consultations and participatory processes such as Social City Council, forums are held, meetings with technical experts in the field, etc.
In fact, the city of San Pedro was the first to sign with the Directorate General of Citizen Participation agreement of commitment Citizen Participation.
The objectives of this conference are to establish spaces for Citizen Participation, contributing to the debate to formulate a model of open government, improve the democratic quality, meet other experiences on Transparency and Good Governance, visualize the role of associations at the local level and highlight projects carried out between the Administration and associations.
Fuensanta Garcia stressed that the conference will be attended by the Director General of Citizen Participation, Manuel Pleguezuelo, which will address the "Citizen Participation, the model of Open Government in the Region of Murcia".
Subsequently, the Chief of Citizen Participation of Aragon, Sergio castel, will address the "strategies for promoting transparency and citizen participation at the local level".
Joaquín Palací consultant Crea360, show "Examples of participatory workshops: development of the DUSI Strategy for San Pedro del Pinatar".
Finally, Eva Gonzalez, Citizen Participation technician pinatarense council, will speak on the "Local Administration, strategic space for good practice".
The conference will show and recognize the projects undertaken by local associations of social involvement.
