The House of Culture hosted the awards ceremony of the III Contest Microrrelatos La Sal, organized by the city of San Pedro del Pinatar and who have attended a total of 34 works.
San Pedro del Pinatar yesterday celebrated World Book Day with the award ceremony of the III Contest microrrelatos La Sal, organized by the Department of Culture in collaboration with Spanish Salinera.
This contest, attended by a total of 34 micro-stories, asked participants to tell a story in less than 150 words with salt protagonist element and in order to encourage and reward creative and literary spirit around one of the elements most representative of the municipality.
The jury of the cultural manager, Angel Salcedo;
the writer pinatarense Lizón Francisco Sanchez, and journalist Emilio Tomas Garcia, awarded the first prize of 200 euros and second prize, the short story "Flor de Sal" Carmen Alicia Alvarez Henarejos;
while "Salt Dreams" by Carmen Salas Henarejos, won the award for best story of local author, endowed with 100 euros and honorable mention.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, the Councillor for Culture, Silvia Egea, and the representative of Spanish Salinera, Pedro Vallejos, made awards to both authors.
In addition, attendees could hear a magnificent selection of topics that Patnia Coral rightly chose for the occasion and the winners microrrelatos in the voice of their authors.
With this act, ended a week of activities to mark World Book Day.
