The unemployment registered in the municipality in April stood at 2,207 unemployed, representing a reduction of 108 unemployed a 4.67% compared to March.

These data represent a 4.67% decline and 154 unemployed over the same month of 2015.
Councilman Employment, Jose Fernandez Andreo, highlighted the positive trend in employment data registered in the municipality, because in terms of social security in March 2016 (the last month for which available local authority data), membership in San Pedro stands at 6,397, representing an increase of more than 70 contributors, 1.11% increase over the situation in February (6,327 members).
Unemployment has declined in all age sectors, especially in the group between 25 and 44 years, with 68 fewer unemployed, of whom 28 are men and 40 are women, followed by men over 45 years with 23 unemployed less, men under 25 are 9 fewer unemployed, the group of women under 25 has 5 fewer unemployed and finally, women over 45 years fell by 3 people.
In addition, in April there has been an uptick in hiring the services, where 61 fewer unemployed and the construction sector with 20 fewer unemployed are registered sector.
