The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, accompanied by the General Director of the Institute of Cultural Industries and the Arts, Marta Lopez-Briones, Councillor for Culture of San Pedro del Pinatar, Silvia Egea, and Murcia dancer Cynthia Cano , presented today in the Hall of Mirrors at the Romea Theatre, the twenty-first edition of the Flamenco Festival of San Pedro del Pinatar, in memory of José Monge "Camaron de la Isla", to be held on 9 July, Customs Park.
The mayor recalled the beginnings of the festival was launched in 1993 on the initiative of the Cultural Collective Duna, with the collaboration of the Roon Association and the City Council, with the aim to disseminate and promote the singing, guitar playing and dancing as great cultural manifestation.
