The House approved the motion for protection of the Mar Menor (02/06/2016)

The regular plenary session of June, held today in San Pedro del Pinatar, has approved the motion presented by the Popular Party that has adhered Winning San Pedro, with votes for the PP, PSOE and Win and abstaining C' s, for the protection of the Mar Menor, the largest saltwater lagoon around the Mediterranean and one of the most unique in Europe, protected by various forms of protection.

The motion lists that in recent years have carried out numerous actions for the protection of the lagoon, through the Plan Zero Discharge addition to the construction of storm tanks, eliminating illegal moorings, the preparation of the Plan Integrated Management of protected areas of the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean coastal strip of the Region of Murcia, measures are already in place that will help protect the Mar Menor medium and long term.
